Ben Wilson

Ben Wilson joined BTS Australasia in January 2006 and now leads BTS Australia in his role as Managing Director.

With twelve years of senior leadership experience in Project Management, Sales, Marketing and Operations roles, Ben has faced the challenges of leading a large international sales force as well as a portfolio of manufacturing businesses.

In his role at BTS, Ben actively pursues his passion for working alongside organisations to develop their workforce from front line leaders right through to senior managers and executives. Ben is able to use his experience to understand and help them meet the challenges they face. He currently works with clients that include Rio Tinto, Woolworths, Theiss, and SPAusnet.

Ben’s career started out in commerce with BHPBiliton and over the next twelve years he worked in both Senior Operations roles and in Senior International Sales and Marketing roles in BHP, BHPBiliton and BlueScope Steel.
Ben completed a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Wollongong with a double major in Business Management and Marketing in 2001. In 2006 Ben received his Master Project Director certification with the Australian Institute of Project Management.  He also holds a Diploma of International Export and an Associate Diploma in Metals Technology.

How does this experience benefit what Ben offers clients today?
Working in both Sales and Operations in a challenging competitive environment Ben has personally experienced many of his client’s business and organisational project related challenges. Experience has been a great teacher, Ben’s ability to relate to his clients challenges and share stories and ideas to overcome these challenges builds trust and confidence in the relationship.
